Most international travelers require a visa to enter India. A tourist e-Visa (e-Tourist Visa) can be applied for online on the official government portal. Ensure you apply at least 15 days before departure. Keep a printed copy of your visa approval with your passport.
Bring light, breathable cotton clothing for warm days, and a warm jacket/layers if visiting during winter (December to February) when mornings can be chilly. Modest clothes are required at religious spaces (knees and shoulders covered, slip-on shoes are convenient).
Drink ONLY bottled mineral water. Our private drivers keep a clean stock inside the AC vehicle at all times. Use bottled water to brush your teeth. We handpick inspected, sanitary restaurants for all tour lunch stops to shield you from bugs.
Local SIM cards (like Airtel or Jio) can be purchased at international airports upon arrival using your passport and visa copy. Alternatively, configure an eSIM before flying. Direct operational WhatsApp support is available from our office 24/7.
The currency is the Indian Rupee (INR). While hotels and fine restaurants accept major credit cards, cash is necessary for local bazaars, small temples, and driver/guide tips. We recommend carrying small denominations of cash.
In a crowded country, street vendors, rickshaw pullers, and self-appointed guides can be persistent. Travelling on a private custom tour means your dedicated licensed guide and professional driver will handle logistics and shield you from unwanted pressure.
